Roz needs your help! The poison tide is threatening her island, and she needs your help to figure out how to stop it! Work with others to solve clues and puzzles themed around the best-selling Wild Robot series by Peter Brown. Can you help Roz in time? This is a free event for children ages 6-9. Registration is required and opens Oct. 1. Please call 402-444-6284 to register. There will be a session at 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.

Experience stories, creative movement, music and more. Explore the early literacy skills of singing, playing, reading, talking and writing in each storytime! Children of all ages are welcome; storytimes will be tailored for the age of the children present. At this storytime, we will learn about fire safety with a local firefighter and even see a fire truck!

Members of American Midwest Ballet will join us for a special storytime about ballet, being a professional dancer, and The Nutcracker. Experience stories, creative movement, music, and more! Each storytime explores early literacy skills like singing, playing, reading, talking, and writing.

Join OPL and Korean Spirit and Culture Promotion Project for a virtual interactive session! There will be a brief presentation on the significance of the lotus flower and the Lotus Lantern Festival, a step-by-step craft session where participants create their own traditional Korean lotus lantern, and a short documentary on Korea to close the event. This craft is suitable for ages 13+ and younger participants are encouraged to complete the craft with an adult caregiver.

Join for a free, year-round program where families can explore, play, and connect through bilingual yoga, mindfulness and wellness practices. Designed for children ages 5–12, younger siblings welcome with their caregivers, this class supports social engagement, emotional regulation, and open-ended play.

Join Omaha Symphony musician Rosario Galante as he introduces the fun music the clarinet can make during this playful reading of "Kitten's First Full Moon" by Kevin Henkes. Designed for kids ages 3-5, this storytime is fun for friends of all ages with some support by their adults.

They're baaack! Game nights at the orchard - grab your family, grab your friends & head to the orchard for a laidback evening of playing games. They have board games & cards available there to play, but you are more than welcome to bring your favorite game to enjoy...all ages are welcome!

Groups will utilize compasses and maps to find waypoints scattered around the park during a timed competition. Open to all ages and experience! One adult required per group unless participants 16+. Beginner and intermediate course available! Register online. Cost $15 / Group (2-4 people)

Dog Man is in trouble! He needs your help to escape Petey’s Secret Lab before time runs out! Come solve clues and puzzles themed around the Dog Man series by Dav Pilkey. Can you help Dog Man escape in time? This is a free event for children ages 8-12. Registration is required. There will be a session at 10 a.m., 10:45 a.m., and 11:30 a.m.

Which Blackstone business makes the best chili? Their annual competition continues in 2025! Come try a variety of chili’s and vote for your favorite one! Money raised benefits the Blackstone District! 

Join author Danielle Herzog for a reading of “What Are You, Lou?”. Participants will work together to craft a story and learn the joy of bringing characters and their adventures to life! This is a free event for children 6-12. 

Bloomwell Autism Therapy is hosting a FREE Autism Screening & Dinosaur Dance Party on Saturday, November 8 from 1-5 PM! They'll be providing autism screenings that are catered toward kids ages 2-5 on a first come, first served basis. While you wait for your turn, they'll have sensory-friendly fun including: Bubbles, Slime, Games, Crafts, Sensory bins, Music, Dancing

This program is designed for ages 2-5 and their adult care-giver. Stop in at the James Family Conservatory and Nature Center anytime between these hours to visit our herpetology-themed stations.

With years of touring under their belts, this band mixes the sounds of the blues, honky-tonk, and punk, and is sure to bring a memorable show to the Holland. Their songs are rough-hewn, expansive American rock & roll with dirt under its nails and whiskey on its breath.

Explore what the plastic numbers and resin codes mean. Use science to sort plastics by their properties and types. Learn why reducing waste has a greater impact than recycling alone.

Calling all cake lovers! Join us on Saturday, November 15th for all the cake you can eat from 1:30-3:00pm. The cost is $30 per person and we will start you off with SIX slices of cake! We will have a variety of cakes for you to choose from (all cakes will contain dairy, eggs, and flour). Finish those six? Just ask for more! Additional drinks like tea, coffee, and bubbly can be added on.

Come watch the annual Leonids Meteor Shower and enjoy stargazing at Neale Woods located at 14323 Edith Marie Ave. in Omaha. Our event will begin with a brief evening hike on dirt-packed trails through the prairie and forest. Then as night falls, we will watch for shooting stars together while learning about meteor showers and general astronomy from our seasoned volunteer, Bob Fuchs. The Omaha Astronomical Society will have telescopes available as well for your stargazing enjoyment.

Are you worn out after a busy work week? Do you need a "pick me up" to kickstart your weekend? Grab your friends, coworkers, or significant other and come wind down during our Sunset Hike! This hike will explore the gravel and dirt trails near the Nature Center, then head out to the third loop of the Boardwalk to watch the sunset over the Missouri River.

Join Sophia the sled dog and her human musher, Karen Land, as they share stories from the Iditarod Trail!  This even is open to all ages
