All ages and ability levels are welcome at OPL’s Tabletop Time At the Library where we’ll be playing popular, modern board games like Catan, Ticket to Ride, Splendor, King of Tokyo and more! Come hang out with friends or family, learn a new game, or enjoy a group favorite at the library.

Apple Pie Slime, served fresh!🥧🎇 Join their DIY workshop and whip up your own ooey-gooey slime topped with apple charms, crunchy apple cubes, fluffy slime topping, and of course a delicious apple pie scent!🍎🍂 This is a FREE, all ages activity! First come, first serve while supplies last!

Kids Yoga + Mindfulness classes are engaging and help children develop emotional regulation skills through movement, relaxation exercises and creative activities. Free to attend. RSVP and they’ll send you meeting details by email.

Celebrate National Dog Day as we create our very own Puppy Play Park Sensory Bins!!🐾🐶Dig into textured rice, adorn with a variety of adorable dog breeds, and explorer paws-itively fun toys, bones and food scoops ! A tail-wagging sensory adventure waits! This is a FREE, all ages event! First come, first serve, while supplies last!!

Compete against other teams to complete the same puzzle in the fastest amount of time. All teams will be provided with a puzzle and will have two hours to finish the challenge. The first team to complete the puzzle wins!
Space is limited, and registration is required.

Join Master Kim, a 6th degree Black Belt with over 20 years of teaching experience, for an exciting introduction to Taekwondo! Students will get a taste of this respected martial art while learning about discipline, building self-confidence, and embracing a healthy lifestyle. This is a free event for children ages 3-6. All participating children will need to have a release waiver signed by their guardian prior to the program. Registration is required

Ahoy, matey! Are you ready for a treasure hunt? Join OPL for a pirate adventure as we go hunting for pirate treasure at the library! Come make a compass, learn about maps, and then use both to find treasure hidden around the library. This is a free event for children ages 8-12. Registration is required

In order for curious minds to bloom, it is essential to plant a love of reading at a young age. Join OPL at Lauritzen Gardens for stories that celebrate gardens, plants, insects and more, and discover the joys of nature, movement, music, and literature. Storytime is geared for preschoolers, but all ages are welcome. Lauritzen Gardens will offer free admission to families who attend this storytime.

The 2025 Omaha Rodeo will include two nights of high-caliber PRCA rodeo action featuring all seven rodeo events including steer wrestling, team roping and bull riding. World champion cowboys will be competing at the rodeo for their official entry into the National Finals Rodeo. Fans can expect non-stop action including rock music, fast-paced competition and family entertainment. Tickets go on sale March 28 at 10 AM.

Experience stories, creative movement, music and more. Explore the early literacy skills of singing, playing, reading, talking and writing in each storytime! Children of all ages are welcome; storytimes will be tailored for the age of the children present. At this storytime, we will learn about fire safety with a local firefighter and even see a fire truck!
