This program is designed for adults and older teens who are new to outdoor skills, and who have a desire to deepen their place-based knowlege. Join naturalist Dustin Clayton and learn how to build a fire using a variety of techniques and materials. We will have lots of time for practice and experimentation with the different methods discussed.

Sled after dark at Crescent Hill at Hitchcock and experience an elevated twist on this favorite winter pastime. Ride the chair lift up the hill and shoot down on a zippy Zibob sled. In 2016, two musicians who loved music and jamming in the attic started The Downtown Collective Band. After starting with small gigs doing hybrid DJ/live music performances, the Collective grew as more friends from music school and work got together to make the jam bigger. Fast forward to today – 10 years later – they are known as one of the top bands in the Midwest. And now you can see them in the beautiful Benson Theatre! Tickets $25 in advance, $30 at the door.

The BPOA and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. will be hosting their annual Easter Egg Hunt at 2707 Redick Ave. Bring your own bag/basket
Gates open at 1 p.m. and the hunt begins promptly at 2 p.m. All age groups will start hunting for eggs at the same time to help keep each field age appropriate and safe. Over 20,000 eggs will be spread out between the four soccer fields for kids ages 10 and under, with an adaptive field for ages 22 and under. Each age group will have 5 golden eggs that can be turned in for an "egg"tra special surprise! Be sure to bring a basket or bag to hold your eggs. Enjoy photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny before the hunt.
Give your favorite stories some sparkle! In this creative program use colorful gems and rhinestones to decorate dazzling book covers. Add a little shimmer and personality to your books while exploring your artistic side. Feel free to bring your own book or use one of ours! All supplies are provided, just bring your imagination! This is a free event for Adults 19+. Registration is required.
Rocks, Rocks, and More Rocks. Get ready to dig! Nebraska is full of amazing rocks and land shapes and we're going on a scavenger hunt to find the coolest native rocks right here in the forest! You'll learn how these earthy treasures keep the trees standing tall and help the forest stay healthy!
Feathers, Forms and Functions: Consider how the form of a bird (beak, feathers, feet) relates to the functions they do to survive and thrive in the wild.
