30 minutes of singing and musical fun with Lori Lynn from Overall Buddies! Most appropriate for kids ages 5 and younger and an adult companion.
Join OPL for an Omaha History Escape Room adventure! You will be “locked” in a room, and in order to escape in time, you will need to solve various Omaha history-related puzzles and clues before your time is up.
There will be 1 escape room at 10:00am for participants ages 13+.
Join at The Platform, the museum’s interactive play space, and celebrate the holidays with us! Each date will have a special craft or activity and feature related photos from our Photo Archive for a bit of a history lesson while you celebrate.
Over 20 unique, local vendors into the Joslyn Castle, nestled throughout all three levels of the historic home! This is your chance to celebrate and shop for EVERYONE on your holiday list! Your $10 entry fee is a fundraiser for the Joslyn Castle & Gardens Guild, who work to maintain the historic property to its original splendor.

What's the best way to get into the holiday spirit? Alpacas, of course! Their good friends from Pixie's Pony Tales will be bringing real alpacas to our store for kids to meet. Plus, there will be hot cocoa and cookies at the UMB bank next door along with a photo opportunity with Santa Claus until 2 PM. It's sure to make your Saturday morning merry and bright!
Kid Coders is an engaging introduction to the world of coding and computer science class designed specifically for children. Through interactive and hands-on activities, young learners explore the fundamentals of programming languages and computational thinking.
Greg and Rowley are stuck in a room with Rodrick! Can you help them escape? Work together to solve the puzzles and clues based on the best-selling "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" book series by Jeff Kinney before time runs out!
There will be two escape rooms at 1:00 and 1:45 PM for participants ages 9-12.
The Makerspace has sewing machines! Learn how to use the machine and sew a small project! All materials will be provided. (Colors may vary.). Skills learned: basic sewing & pressing.

Join the National Park Service for B.A.R.K Ranger at the 8th Street Pavilion in Gene Leahy Mall near the Dog Park from 2PM - 4PM.

Ollie the Trolley is offering public Haunted Cemetery Tours. Bring along your own spirits to toast the apparitions that haunt Omaha's cemeteries, mansions and other infamous locales. Learn about Omaha's wicked little city during a time when gangsters and brothels ruled the city. These tours are narrated by trained Historians.
The first tour starts Sunday, September 15th and runs through Sunday, November 17th, 2024. The time is 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm. Pick up location is at the Westlawn-Hillcrest mortuary located at 5701 West Center Road (park on the west side of the mortuary). This is a 3 hour tour, with a trained historian. The cost is only $39.95 per person.

Refreshments will be served and tea will be hosted by a Tea-Rex wrangler. Bring your favorite stuffed or plastic dinosaur friends to enjoy the party! This is a free event for children ages 5-9. Tea party snacks, beverages, and dinosaur tails to wear during the program will be provided.

Zines are unique, handmade, hyper-local booklets created by community members that help to quickly spread ideas to other members in the community. Zines promote freedom of speech and expression and can resemble a traditional book with only words or a graphic novel with a mixture of words and pictures.
As you enjoy the sights & sounds along the trail you will spot activities posted along your route that are designed to help learners ages 3 to 5 experience nature in a new way. While it is designed for young learners, any age can learn something new and have fun, too!
