Join a Teaching Artist from the Joslyn Art Museum in this exciting artmaking activity to create some really vibrant and expressive artwork. Teens will dive headfirst into the exciting world of printmaking, and we will use nature as our inspiration. Teens will create their own design on a reusable fabric tote bag! Let’s Keep It Poppin Summer Art Fair will be a family-friendly good day out. With the summer festivities coming to an end we will still be making it POP after the Fourth of July with phenomenal local vendors of the midlands. The Blind Picasso nonprofit will be bringing in vendors who sale items from beautiful canvas art to delicious delicate bites of sweetness. Join this summer for some stargazing at Eugene T. Mahoney State Park! Powerful telescopes will be set up at the park’s golf shack for a glimpse of the night sky spectaculars. The event is free to the public, but you will need a valid Nebraska park entry permit for your vehicle. Stargazing will begin at dusk. Remember to bring your camp chairs or blankets! Telescopes will be provided.

Join OPL and educators from the Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium to learn about mammal digestion and discover why scientists use poop to track animal migration patterns.
Join for Community Fishing Night at Prairie Queen Lake! All participants ages 16 and older need a fishing license. A valid state park entry permit is also required for events at state park areas.
