This session will focus on sewing machine basics, including the parts of the machine, getting set up, and basic stitches. After learning the basics, participants will work on creating a pillowcase! In this workshop you will learn how to design and decorate do-it-yourself stickers. Use markers to experiment with layering light and dark color combinations to add details to your sticker designs. You will have so much fun making stickers in the sun that you will want to share your new DIY sticker hack with others! Meet at the Arrival Plaza next to the Discovery Playground!

Training will include a babysitting guidebook, basic first aid, and age-appropriate practices for caring for infants, preschoolers, toddlers, and school age youth. Get ready for a roaring good time! In this hands-on musical experience inspired by Dinosaurumpus!, kids become the musicians as they explore the many ways percussion instruments make sound—shaking, scraping, and striking along with the story. Guided by a staff member from the Omaha Symphony, young participants will stomp, chomp, and make music together while discovering how rhythm brings this dino-filled tale to life.
Take a journey and explore the sense of taste, touch, smell, sight, and sound through descriptive, vibrant language and storytelling. This is a free event for children ages 8-12. Registration is required
