Bundle up and join Keep Omaha Beautiful educators for a wintery exploration of nature’s hidden magic! We’ll begin by reading "Jayden’s Impossible Garden," a heartwarming story about a boy who finds beauty and nature in unexpected places—even in the middle of a city. After our story, we’ll head outside on a short winter nature walk to observe animal tracks, bare branches, dried seed pods, and other signs of life that often go unnoticed in the colder months. Back inside, we’ll share our discoveries and create a collaborative mural that captures the quiet beauty of Omaha’s winter landscape.

Be a geologist! Be a paleontologist! Find out what these scientists have in common and the tools they use. Learn how different rocks were formed, observe some real fossils, and make your own. This is a free event for ages 6-12.

Add your creativity to the library—or your own bookshelf! In this all-ages workshop, participants will decorate clear, acrylic bookends using paint, stickers, and more. You can choose to take your finished bookend home or donate it to the library. This is a free event for all ages.

Get ready for a cozy Winter Wine Walk at Midtown Crossing on Saturday, February 21, from 3 to 6 pm! Participating establishments are set to offer a delightful experience, featuring several exquisite wines at each spot, available for purchase in a perfect 2.5 oz pour. Elevate your tasting journey with suggested food pairings that complement the rich flavors of each wine. Prices vary by establishment.

For this concert, we’ll be hearing polka music from the Kenny Janak Orchestra.

This is a free event for children ages 8-12.

Get fit with fun as the Amazing Athletes guide you through a variety of active activities. Then, nurture your muscles and your mind with a healthy snack and a fun craft activity!

Join in February for the largest and most exciting figure skating event in the state! From dazzling freeskates to dynamic showcases, Winterfest brings skaters from across the region together in a celebration of talent, artistry, and athleticism. Free admission for spectators—come cheer on the future stars of the ice!

Join instructor Alexis Espinoza-Arrubla as she leads a workshop on yoga and mindfulness for kids! This workshop offers a fun, engaging way for children and their caregivers to build body awareness, practice self-regulation skills and enhance overall well-being through practices such as yoga, mindful movement, games, relaxation techniques and arts + crafts. Limited yoga mats will be available, however, participants are encouraged to bring their own yoga mat or blanket.

Excitement is building for the 60th Anniversary Omaha Home & Garden Expo to be held Friday, February 27th through Sunday, March 1st at the CHI Health Center, 10th Street & Capitol Ave. The Omaha Home & Garden Expo has been an Annual Family Tradition since 1967. This year’s Show has become the area’s Most Complete showcase of the latest products and services for the Home – Inside and Out!

Join for Sensory Storytime! This storytime is designed for children with and without autism and other developmental disabilities. There will be visuals showing what to expect, a book or two, songs, and other play items. This is meant to be a quieter storytime than our weekly Toddler and ABC storytimes. Registration is required. Space is limited to 12 families. Please register your family only once.

Hoff Fourth Friday is a monthly celebration of art, music, food, and community at the Hoff Family Arts & Culture Center. Enjoy gallery openings, pop-up restaurant, live music, hands-on activities, and creative energy throughout the Hoff.

Calling all gamers! Have a blast learning how to code while building robotic games to test your code. You will learn about sequencing commands, value and sensor inputs, and loops. This month, kids will create a robotic ring. This is a free event for kids 10-12. Children under the age of 10 will not be admitted into this program. Registration is required.
