Doors open at 5 p.m., music begins at 6 p.m. Free (All ages). Bands & Brews is your free ticket to enjoy an indoor concert at The Astro, the hottest new destination for live music in the Greater Omaha area. Come experience what everyone is talking about at this world-class venue in the heart of La Vista! This event, featuring local bands and beverages, is presented by the City of La Vista, The Astro, and La Vista City Centre.
Headlining the evening is the nationally acclaimed, award-winning HECTOR ANCHONDO BAND, with opening performances by local favorites THE BROADWAYS and SPECK NELSON AND THE RALSTONES. Admission is free! Advance reservation tickets have all been claimed. An additional 1,000 seats will be available on a first-come, first-served basis at the door on the day of the event.
The Omaha Hell Hounds sponsored by Nebraska Brewing Company and the American Medieval Combat Federation are bringing back St. Patrick's Brawl for 2025! Because last year was so successful, they wanted to up the ante. This year they are bringing you SIX teams for a round robin melee tournament! A portion of gross ticket sales will be going towards a local charity here in the Omaha area, so again, they thank you all for making this happen!
Blast off with the Omaha Symphony throughout our galaxy courtesy of Gustav Holst’s The Planets. This exciting and familiar music embodies the astrological character of several planets in our solar system. We’ll invite you to march off to Mars, fly to Venus, and settle into the joy of Jupiter. The whole family can board the spaceship and join us in the final frontier for this Family Series performance of Gustav Holst’s The Planets, complete with NASA footage on the big screen. Performances are one hour long. Come an hour before the program to participate in lobby activities like crafts, an instrument “petting zoo”, and more!

Award-winning blues artist C.A. Waller, has been singing and playing the blues throughout the Midwest and South for more than 50 years. Through performance, storytelling, and a discussion of historical context Mr. Waller presents the musical styles, personal stories, and cultural background of the blues, and the people who sang and lived the blues. The story of the blues is the story of the establishment and development of the African-American society in our country, and the valuable contribution its practitioners have made to our collective culture. C.A. Waller is dedicated to the preservation of this unique oral tradition.

Children of all ages are welcome; storytimes will be tailored for the age of the children present. At this storytime, we will learn about fire safety with a local firefighter and even see a fire truck!

It’s 90 minutes of hilarious improvised comedy and song, all based on audience suggestions. Whose Live Anyway showcases some of the improv games made famous on the long-running TV show, as well as some exciting new ones!
