One of the most unique musical ensembles in the United States, The Intergeneration Orchestra of Omaha bridges two diverse age groups through the common language of music. The Orchestra is now in it’s 41st season. Musicians are all volunteers and either 25 years of age and younger or 55 years of age and older. Visit the Performance Pavilion for an afternoon of great music!
Bring your lil Pumpkins in for a harvest themed adventure of sweet treats and storytelling!! we will be making our very own Pumpkin Patch Pudding Cups. then as we indulge in our sweet treats gather around to hear the story "The Biggest Pumpkin Ever!!" Come and create a spooky canvas that glows! You’ll be given a black canvas to decorate using phosphorescent paint and stencils. Your final creation will glow-in-the-dark! Paint your canvas as you share about your own paranormal experiences or listen as staff share a spooky story. This is a free event for kids 8-12. All aboard the spooky express! In this hands-on class, you’ll design and decorate your very own ghostly train just in time for the Halloween season. Using creative materials and guided instruction, you’ll bring your haunting locomotive to life while exploring design, construction, and a little bit of Halloween magic.
Explore digital storytelling through hands-on STEM and coding activities with our new community partner, Snapology! Kids will dive into robotics and coding using LEGO® bricks and technology—building skills and having fun along the way. This is a free event for kids 6-12. Registration is required.

Pumpkin Spice and everything nice!! Join for a slime-tastic afternoon of creating Pumpkin Spice Slime that captures the fall essence of Starbucks in every stretchy, scented batch!! Plus add an extra dollop of fun with mix-ins such as fluffy whipped clay topping and adorable pumpkin sequins, charms and of course glitter!! Leave the mess to us!! LALA (Local Artists. Local Art), a nonprofit dedicated to uplifting local creative voices, invites the public to a vibrant evening of art, music, and celebration at “LALA Arty Party: Gift Crow Celebration”, at 8th Street Plaza at Heartland of America Park, next to the Skate Ribbon. At the heart of the event is the debut of “Gift Crow”, a striking new sculpture by local artist Renee' A. Ledesma, followed by remarks from both Ledesma and Weston Thomsen, Co-Director at LALA. The evening will include a performance by Mariachi Femenil Tecalitlan, an appearance by the River City Mixed Chorus, locally designed inflatable sculptures, and a lively celebration of LALA artists and their work.
All performances are 6-8pm and take place on the Turner Park Patio, near PROOF Whiskey Bar & Craft Cocktails.

Help the princess build the most comfortable mattress! After reading The Princess and the Pea, participants will have one hour to complete a challenge: create a mattress so comfy that you can’t feel the “pea”! The Fort Omaha Intertribal Powwow highlights Native American dance, music, regalia, oral history and arts. With its rich ties to Native American history, where Ponca Chief Standing Bear and his people were detained pending the 1879 landmark civil rights case granting Native Americans the right of Habeas corpus, the Fort Omaha Campus continues to offer an ideal location for this outdoor community event uniting people of diverse cultures, races, socioeconomic backgrounds and ages. This event is family-friendly and free and open to the public.
Celebrating Native American cultures, the powwow honors the traditional dance, music, artistry, oral history and foods of various tribes across Nebraska and the surrounding region including Omaha, Ponca, Santee Sioux and Winnebago.
Join OPL for a Titanic-sized adventure! You will be “locked” in a room, and in order to escape in time, you will need to solve various puzzles and clues related to the RMS Titanic before your time is up. There will be a session at 2 p.m. and 3 p.m for participants ages 13-18. Maximum of 10 people per room per time slot.
