It may still be winter, it’s not too early to start planning for spring! The library is proud to host another Seed Share event from 10AM - 12PM on Saturday, February 1. They will have envelopes available for those bringing their own seeds to share. Don’t have seeds to bring? No problem, we have plenty to go around! We hope to see you there! Like last year, someone from the Nebraska Master Gardener Program will be onsite to answer gardening-related questions. We will also have volunteers from Ralston High School’s FFA program, Nancy Crews from Milkweed Matters, and other special guests. Seeds were generously donated by Ace Hardware, The Big Garden, Grass Pad, Indian Creek Nursery, Lowe's, Mulhall's, Paradigm Gardens, and Whispering Roots.

Join for an evening of murder and mayhem in the Wild West as Arbor Lodge Mansion transforms into the Deadwood Saloon. It’s an old-fashioned whodunnit in a magnificent setting! Secret Agents Glitter Waffles, Chameleon, Stinger and Ringleader have been recruited by Agent Sunflower (currently undercover at Ellis Elementary School as a school counselor) to make their school a kinder place for all. Welcome the Lunar New Year at the library! Join on Sunday, February 2 from 2:00-3:00PM for a Lunar New Year celebration. Enjoy a performance by Omaha's Linh Quang Lion and Dragon Dance Troupe with refreshments from Bubbly Tea. Wear red to help us bring good fortune and prosperity for the year of the snake. Enjoy family-friendly Omaha magician Ryan Chandler as he performs at Eugene T. Mahoney State Park! With the camera acting as a giant magnifying glass on stage, be sure not to blink as magic & audience members are projected on a large screen. Chandler, who has appeared on television with magicians Penn and Teller, will perform at the Kountze Memorial Theater.
