Unearth A Story: Animals from the Past: Journey back in time this summer as we look at how modern-day animal adaptations can help us uncover the truth about our past!

Join OPL for a Super Smash Bros tournament. We will be playing the game on the Nintendo Switch 2. This is a free program for ages 13-18. Registration is required

Get to know the new OPL Do Space in our Skills Class! Each session will focus on learning a new skill, machine, or software. This session will focus on sewing machine basics, including the parts of the machine, getting set up, and basic stitches. After learning the basics, participants will work on creating a pillowcase! Register now for this 2-hour, hands-on program!

Enjoy an evening of free yoga among nature and friendly goats.  Goats are from Shepherds Rest Goat and Sheep Rescue.

Curiosity Crew is a one-hour, hands-on STEM program for children ages 6-11 that blends play, exploration, and early learning! Stop by to learn about a topic and complete an activity! June Theme: Dinos! Celebrate our summer reading theme and learn about types of dinosaurs and how their fossils were made. Space is limited. Registration is encouraged.

Get ready for a roaring good time! In this hands-on musical experience inspired by Dinosaurumpus!, kids become the musicians as they explore the many ways percussion instruments make sound—shaking, scraping, and striking along with the story. Guided by a staff member from the Omaha Symphony, young participants will stomp, chomp, and make music together while discovering how rhythm brings this dino-filled tale to life.

Take a journey and explore the sense of taste, touch, smell, sight, and sound through descriptive, vibrant language and storytelling. This is a free event for children ages 8-12. Registration is required

Every Thursday join in the Curiosity Lab, as we explore science with hands-on activities and experiments. *Participants should be prepared to get messy*

Join for a bubbly, high-energy foam party as our foam cannon fills the space with soft, sudsy fun! Kids can enjoy safe, refreshing foam play while families soak in the summer excitement

Come and get messy at the library! We will have fun stations set up outside the library where you can explore and get dirty. Bring your own towel!

Become the best babysitter you can be! Training will include a babysitting guidebook, basic first aid, and age-appropriate practices for caring for infants, preschoolers, toddlers, and school age youth. The clinic is taught by Nebraska 4-H Extension staff. This is a free program for ages 11 and up. Registration is required 

Omaha Conservatory of Music guests bring the magic of music alive with a musical storytime! The storytime includes a special musical story, songs with movement, and an instrument petting zoo.

Professor Pippy P. Poopypants has captured best friends Harold and George! Captain Underpants needs your help to save them. You’ll have to work together to solve clues and puzzles themed around the Captain Underpants series by Dav Pikey to save Harold and George before time runs out. Do you have what it takes to be a hero like Captain Underpants? Registration is required.

Soccer Shots is bringing the fun to The RiverFront with a free, 30 minute soccer experience for children ages 2 to 5. Kids will run, play, and explore through exciting games while building confidence and learning basic soccer skills in a fun, positive, and energetic environment. 

These amazing drummers can make music out of anything! Come be inspired!  All ages invited. No library card or registration required.  Bring chairs or a blanket. This event takes place at the Gretna Crossing Park Amphitheater.  Please dress for the weather.  Rain location is Gretna United Methodist Church, 11457 S. 204th St.

This fun and energetic dance class combines elements of ballet and hip-hop. Join Metropolitan Community College at the 8th Street Plaza to learn this exciting dance style and perfect your moves! Some dance experience is required.
