Crafted from reclaimed wood and full of wild wisdom, these six towering trolls are on a mission to help humans rediscover their connection to nature. The Young Playwrights Festival showcases the work of some of the best teenage writers in the Omaha area. Most of the scripts featured in this production are created as part of The Rose’s yearlong Young Playwrights class, which is led by The Rose’s award-winning Playwright-in-Residence, Brian Guehring. Written entirely by teens, the works are filled with comedy, tragedy, hopes, fears, romance and all-out fun.

OPL invites you to explore the city’s rich history within the sacred grounds of Bohemian Cemetery — one of Omaha’s historic cemeteries. Following a brief talk about the significance and history of Bohemian Cemetery, participants will have the opportunity to uncover stories in plain sight.
In this workshop you will learn how to make butterflies out of cardboard tubes and flowers out of cardboard egg cartons. I will guide you through the steps on how to fold, cut and glue until your butterflies emerge and your flowers bloom into reality. You can then use markers to decorate and design your cardboard creations. When you are all done you can glue on a magnet or mini clothes pin so you can display your creation as you please. Location: Arrival Plaza at The RiverFront Park. The workshop will take place near the entrance of the Kiewit Luminarium

The structure of the scent chemicals impacts how our neurons detect its scent, and models will be available so participants can connect the microscopic molecular structures to the macroscopic scents.
