World O! Water is a fun, annual event for all ages to learn about the important role water plays in our lives and community. Everyone is welcome to this free event including families, youth groups and scout troops, and even your dog! Join in the fun on Saturday, September 12th from 12 noon til 4 pm at Chalco Hills Recreation Area. Enjoy a free hotdog lunch while supplies last.
The Fort Omaha Intertribal Powwow highlights Native American dance, music, regalia, oral history and arts. With its rich ties to Native American history, where Ponca Chief Standing Bear and his people were detained pending the 1879 landmark civil rights case granting Native Americans the right of Habeas corpus, the Fort Omaha Campus continues to offer an ideal location for this outdoor community event uniting people of diverse cultures, races, socioeconomic backgrounds and ages. This event is family-friendly and free and open to the public.
Celebrating Native American cultures, the powwow honors the traditional dance, music, artistry, oral history and foods of various tribes across Nebraska and the surrounding region including Omaha, Ponca, Santee Sioux and Winnebago.

A Halloween tradition without the frights, Cobweb Castle returns this fall! Clamber your way through the spooky maze, scale the castle wall, or don your sorcerer’s hat and makeup. The not-so-scary Halloween experience is here through November 2. Come and enjoy the fun of Halloween without the scares in our seasonal exhibit, Cobweb Castle!

The only day they allow furry friends to romp around the orchard, all while supporting a great cause. This event benefits the Council Bluff's Midlands Humane Society, and They'll be giving out some fantastic prizes! Costume Contest Begins at 12pm.

Families are invited to dress in costume and take part in a Halloween experience unlike any other. Step inside the museum where candy will be launched from 13 historic aircraft. From superheroes and princesses to World War II re-enactors, our staff and volunteers will be in costume to bring the holiday spirit to life, and this year, guests can join the fun by entering our Crowd-Sourced Costume Contest. It is a chance to enjoy a trick-or-treat adventure surrounded by some of the world’s most legendary planes.
Just in time for Halloween, experience a Ghoulish Garden Adventure at Lauritzen Gardens. Explore a variety of educational and fun activity stations throughout the garden. Learn about the mysteries of nature, get up close and personal with the amazing creatures that make the fall so festive, and make your very own crafts to take home. Activities are included with paid garden admission of $15 for adults and $9 for children 3-12. Garden members and children under the age of two are admitted free of charge.

Currently, they have over 50 businesses and organizations signed up to hand out treats to Bellevue’s youth — and they hope for a great turnout of little ghosts and goblins!

Do pumpkin guts drive you nuts? Check out your pumpkin target precision as you learn how to use the primitive spear throwing device called an atlatl at Eugene T. Mahoney State Park. Who needs foam targets when we’ve got fall pumpkins? Meet behind the Bur Oak Shelter. This activity is free and open to anyone age six or older. A valid Nebraska state park vehicle permit is required for park entry.
Omaha’s historic Halloween celebration is back! Come in costume and snag goodies from storied characters throughout the museum, enjoy ghostly games and creepy crafts in the Swanson "Ghoulery" and tiptoe aboard our spooky – but not scary – haunted train cars.
