World O! Water is a fun, annual event for all ages to learn about the important role water plays in our lives and community. Everyone is welcome to this free event including families, youth groups and scout troops, and even your dog! Join in the fun on Saturday, September 12th from 12 noon til 4 pm at Chalco Hills Recreation Area. Enjoy a free hotdog lunch while supplies last.
The Fort Omaha Intertribal Powwow highlights Native American dance, music, regalia, oral history and arts. With its rich ties to Native American history, where Ponca Chief Standing Bear and his people were detained pending the 1879 landmark civil rights case granting Native Americans the right of Habeas corpus, the Fort Omaha Campus continues to offer an ideal location for this outdoor community event uniting people of diverse cultures, races, socioeconomic backgrounds and ages. This event is family-friendly and free and open to the public.
Celebrating Native American cultures, the powwow honors the traditional dance, music, artistry, oral history and foods of various tribes across Nebraska and the surrounding region including Omaha, Ponca, Santee Sioux and Winnebago.

Join OPL for a musical storytime with guests from the Omaha Conservatory of Music. Gather a group of friends or family members to explore the Washington Branch and neighborhood! Stop by the Washington Branch to pick up a zine detailing ten locations to explore. You’ll have four hours to see as many of the sights as you can before heading back to the library for a prize! All groups will begin and end at Washington.
This is a free event for adults 19+.

Get ready to unearth Egypt's ancient secrets as your crew investigates the mystery of the Lost Mummy. This escape room will bring the past back to life. But hold on... maybe some things are best left buried. This is a free event for teens aged 13-18. Registration is required and will open June 15. There will be three escape rooms at 1:00 PM, 2:00 PM, and 3:00 PM.

On August, the topic will be owls! Celebrate Owl Awareness Day as you learn about these mysterious nocturnal hunters, dissect an owl pellet and more. The event will be held at the pavilion east of the Caboose Park.

Also, please refrain from bringing tents, canopies, or staking anything into the ground. Most importantly, have fun and enjoy your time in Stinson Park! Aksarben Village is always buzzing with something fun to do!
