Ollie the Trolley is offering public Haunted Cemetery Tours. Bring along your own spirits to toast the apparitions that haunt Omaha's cemeteries, mansions and other infamous locales. Learn about Omaha's wicked little city during a time when gangsters and brothels ruled the city. These tours are narrated by trained Historians.
The first tour starts Sunday, September 15th and runs through Sunday, November 17th, 2024. The time is 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm. Pick up location is at the Westlawn-Hillcrest mortuary located at 5701 West Center Road (park on the west side of the mortuary). This is a 3 hour tour, with a trained historian. The cost is only $39.95 per person.

They will have envelopes available for those bringing their own seeds to share. Don’t have seeds to bring? No problem, we have plenty to go around! We hope to see you there! Like last year, someone from the Nebraska Master Gardener Program will be onsite to answer gardening-related questions. We will also have volunteers from Ralston High School’s FFA program, Nancy Crews from Milkweed Matters, and other special guests. Secret Agents Glitter Waffles, Chameleon, Stinger and Ringleader have been recruited by Agent Sunflower (currently undercover at Ellis Elementary School as a school counselor) to make their school a kinder place for all. The school has been overcome with the winter blues, excessive grumpiness, school testing stress and an overall dark cloud of doom and gloom. Will these elementary school students succeed in their secret spy missions? Can they break the secret codes from headquarters? Will their secret agency be discovered? Will they make a difference in this school? Will their excessive use of glitter attract the ire of the janitor? Will they work together better than a herd of cats? Welcome the Lunar New Year at the library! Join on Sunday, February 2 from 2:00-3:00PM for a Lunar New Year celebration. Enjoy a performance by Omaha's Linh Quang Lion and Dragon Dance Troupe with refreshments from Bubbly Tea. Wear red to help us bring good fortune and prosperity for the year of the snake. Enjoy family-friendly Omaha magician Ryan Chandler as he performs at Eugene T. Mahoney State Park! With the camera acting as a giant magnifying glass on stage, be sure not to blink as magic & audience members are projected on a large screen. Chandler, who has appeared on television with magicians Penn and Teller, will perform at the Kountze Memorial Theater.

Free but registration is required (only 133 seats in the theater), Join at the movie theater for a free showing of the popular 90’s movie “Hook”.
Before the show, there will be pre-movie fun with crafts, character meet and greet, photo opportunities, raffles, and discounted food and drinks from the Liquid Sunshine Taproom.
