Ollie the Trolley is offering public Haunted Cemetery Tours. Bring along your own spirits to toast the apparitions that haunt Omaha's cemeteries, mansions and other infamous locales. Learn about Omaha's wicked little city during a time when gangsters and brothels ruled the city. These tours are narrated by trained Historians.
The first tour starts Sunday, September 15th and runs through Sunday, November 17th, 2024. The time is 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm. Pick up location is at the Westlawn-Hillcrest mortuary located at 5701 West Center Road (park on the west side of the mortuary). This is a 3 hour tour, with a trained historian. The cost is only $39.95 per person.

Refreshments will be served and tea will be hosted by a Tea-Rex wrangler. Bring your favorite stuffed or plastic dinosaur friends to enjoy the party! This is a free event for children ages 5-9. Tea party snacks, beverages, and dinosaur tails to wear during the program will be provided.

Zines promote freedom of speech and expression and can resemble a traditional book with only words or a graphic novel with a mixture of words and pictures.
As you enjoy the sights & sounds along the trail you will spot activities posted along your route that are designed to help learners ages 3 to 5 experience nature in a new way. While it is designed for young learners, any age can learn something new and have fun, too!

Santa’s reindeer are lost inside the Tree Adventure, and we need your help to find them! Join with family and friends in a fun-for-all-ages scavenger hunt to discover where the reindeer are hiding along the Tree House Trail. Then use our special mailbox to send a letter to Santa to let him know where to find his reindeer in time for his Christmas ride!
Activity is available during regular hours November 29 through December 22 and is included with your Tree Adventure admission. Purchase Tree Adventure tickets in advance.

Visitors will be immersed in stories of dragons — exploring the lore and history of them in nearly every region and culture, from Norway to China.
Are your kids ready to share their carefully curated list with Santa? During Christmas at Union Station presented by FNBO, they’ll be able to have a magical visit with our jolly pal from the North Pole in his cozy cabin retreat. Plan a visit and see the big guy before it’s too late to get on the nice list! Children can choose to sit with Santa or give him a call on our old-fashioned telephone (apt for a history museum, don’t you think?). If using the phone, Santa’s elves will be at the switchboard to make sure you get connected to the big guy himself.
Kids can drop off their letters to Santa, too.
Once again, Lauritzen Gardens is making the holiday season merry and BRIGHT! The floral display hall and the Marjorie K. Daugherty Conservatory will be adorned and enhanced with light as the garden extends its hours to celebrate the beauty of the season.
These enchanted evenings are sure to become a holiday tradition. As you tour the glistening indoor gardens, gather around the crackling fire, write letters to Santa, shop for thoughtful holiday gifts in the gift shop, purchase a S'mores kit to roast a marshmallow, enjoy the family-friendly activities in the Family Chill Zone, and more.
We hope that you’ve been good this year, because Santa is on his way to Lauritzen Gardens! Bring the kids to visit with the jolly ol’ man in his bright red suit as he stops at the garden this holiday season. Share a wish with the North Pole’s greatest ambassador, and capture this year’s holiday family photo (bring your own camera to take pictures). Santa will spread cheer on December 1, 6-8, and 11-23. Included with a ticket to Bright Nights.
