Moonlight Movies: How to Train Your Dragon (2025)

La Vista Public Library 9110 Giles Road , La Vista

Join on the second and fourth Fridays of June and July for free outdoor movies on the big screen. Yard games and movie-themed activities begin at 7:30 p.m. Blankets, chairs, and picnics are encouraged. Each movie will have a food truck on site serving treats for purchase. Take flight on a dragon-sized adventure with a showing of How to Train Your Dragon (2025). Enjoy face painting, axe throwing and an inflatable obstacle course for an action-packed night of family fun. Movie is PG.

Nebraska Crossroads Music Festival: ííS – Nordic Soundscapes

Gretna Days Free Night at the Movies: Movie TBD

Gretna High School 11335 S 204th St, Gretna

Gates open at 7:00pm, Movie will start around 7:45pm with fireworks to follow approximately 9:45pm. Concessions will be available for purchase. Free admission and parking! Seating will be available in the stadium seats and also on the field. Bring blankets for sitting on the field.  Lawn chairs are not allowed on the field.  Food and drink other than water will not be allowed on the field. No outside food or drink will be allowed

Moth Survey: Community Science Day

Camp Wa-Kon-Da 402 Forest Dr, Bellevue

Join in celebrating National Moth Week with a night of community science! Did you know that there are over 1300 species of moths in Nebraska? How much do you really know about them and their role in nature? During this exciting event, we will learn about the importance of moths in our ecosystem, set up moth survey sites, and collect data for the National Moth Week database. If you’re interested in learning more about the nocturnal critters in the world around us and participating in hands-on research, we encourage you to join in the fun!

Join for another great Gretna Days Fireworks Show by Gretna’s own Peters Pyrotechnic Productions! Time is Approximate!  Could start a little earlier or later based on the timing of darkness and weather. BIG THANK YOU to our sponsor Culver’s! Located East of the Gretna High School.  Join us before fireworks for movie nite in the football stadium, or come later to view fireworks show from the stadium.
