America 250: Soldiers in the American Revolution
What were living conditions like for soldiers and prisoners of war during the American Revolution?
At 1:00, members of the Sons and Daughters of the American Revolution – Nebraska Chapter will talk with attendees in character while in full revolutionary dress.
At 2:00, Dr. Susan Brynne Long from the University of Nebraska Omaha will discuss British and American prisoners of war in the Revolution.
Celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence with the Omaha Public Library! This year they’re celebrating the ways America has changed over the last 250 years through a year-long lecture series. Each month we’ll offer a different presentation from local experts on American history, culture, or experience.
This is a free event for all ages. Registration is encouraged but not required.
