Outdoor Osteology at Mahoney State Park
Join us Saturday, Oct. 10 at the James Family Conservatory and Nature Center to learn about osteology (bones and skeletons) at our Halloween Happenings Open House! Stop in between 1 and 4 p.m. to identify owl bones, peek in an owl pellet, sketch a skull, see snake and bat skeletons and more as you explore the nature center.
Enjoy s’mores and roasting marshmallows while they last!
This activity is free and open to the public, but a valid state park vehicle permit is required for entry.
This program is hosted by Conservation Nebraska’s Common Ground Americorps Program, along with the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission.
