  • 35th Annual Fort Omaha Intertribal Powwow

    The Fort Omaha Intertribal Powwow highlights Native American dance, music, regalia, oral history and arts. With its rich ties to Native American history, where Ponca Chief Standing Bear and his people were detained pending the 1879 landmark civil rights case granting Native Americans the right of Habeas corpus, the Fort Omaha Campus continues to offer an ideal location for this outdoor community event uniting people of diverse cultures, races, socioeconomic backgrounds and ages. This event is family-friendly and free and open to the public.
    Celebrating Native American cultures, the powwow honors the traditional dance, music, artistry, oral history and foods of various tribes across Nebraska and the surrounding region including Omaha, Ponca, Santee Sioux and Winnebago.

    A morning of butterfly tagging at the Neale Woods prairie, where you will learn how to get involved in national conservation efforts. Naturalist educators will explain the background of the Monarch Watch tagging project and show participants how to safely catch and tag the butterflies. Participants can take a set of tags home after the program to continue protecting these iconic butterflies in their own communities!

  • Fall Arts and Crafts Show

    The show is billed as one of Iowa's largest shows, with over 200 exhibitors presenting and selling thousands of unique, handmade products. Hours of the show are from 9 A.M. to 5 P.M. on Saturday and 10 A.M. to 4 P.M. on Sunday. Admission is $6 and children 10 and younger are free. Parking is free throughout the show. All patrons who attend the show on Saturday will receive a two-day re-entry stamp.

    The Lied Activity Center will be hosting our 19th craft fair for the Bellevue community on Saturday, October 10th, 2026, from 9am-3pm. Join for games, pumpkin painting, and of course, CHILI! hayrack ride trick or treating will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A $3/vehicle park entry fee or membership is required to enter the park. Free-will donations will be gratefully accepted. This event will be held rain or shine. Please meet at Breezy Lodge.

As usual, the event is free and family-friendly, as the Werner Park gates open for the Omaha Metro to celebrate a fun-filled night at the stadium!! They will be collecting donations for Food Bank for the Heartland upon entry to Baseballoween. Donations are encouraged but not mandatory.
