Join at the Outdoor Heritage Complex at Platte River State Park on Saturday, Nov. 8 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. for Veterans Appreciation Day! They’d like to honor and show our respect for those who have served in a war, sacrificing of themselves for the common good of our country. The first 50 visitors with any military ID will receive a token for one free shooting activity. This is a family-friendly event and all are welcome.
Make a constellation, use a star chart to identify seasonal stars, examine a moon globe and compare it to the moon you see in the sky and more. Use what you learn late at night as the stars become visible.
Join us for a day of outdoor fun at the 2025 Family Rendezvous at Platte River State Park’s Roger G. Sykes Outdoor Heritage Education Complex! Bring the whole family and spend the day enjoying: nature activities, hatchet throwing, archery, slingshot, and more!
Visit scenic Platte River State Park with your loved ones on Saturday, Feb. 15 for a Valentine’s weekend brunch. This brunch is walk-in only; no reservations will be accepted.
Adults (13+): $19.95
Children (12 and under): $9.95
Visit scenic Platte River State Park for a romantic Valentine’s Day Steak Night on Feb. 14 at the Walter Scott Jr. Lodge & Restaurant! The dinner will include choices of steak, chicken, fish, appetizers, a salad bar and more. A 2025 state park vehicle permit is required for park entry. Call for reservations.
Kids can enjoy complimentary refreshments, hot dogs, and kid-friendly biking zones. Additionally, partners will be offering bicycle and gear raffles and giveaways. We’ll top it all off with mellow live music and a relaxed atmosphere for you to come and go between trail ride sessions with old and new friends.
