Join the Nebraska Science Festival for Science Sunday from 1-2pm in April at the Omaha RiverFront by the slides. This is a free family friendly hour for you to learn about nature, astronomy, chemistry, medicine and more with hands-on science activities (while supplies last).
Hold a wishing stone. Feels its presence. Ask yourself, what would I like to wish for today? Focus your energy into creating your own magical piece of art to carry into the summer. Visitors will be using watercolor pencils for control and liquid watercolor to let go. Feel the stillness when they set their intentions in “stone” (well, a painting of a stone). Meet at the Arrival Plaza next to the Discovery Playground!
Every year, donation supporters are encouraged to wear blue and green the second Friday during April's Donate Life Month to raise awareness of organ, tissue and eye donation. This year, Live On Nebraska encourages you to bring the whole family for a night of fun in Lewis & Clark Landing at The RiverFront in celebration of Donate Life National Blue & Green Day. Enjoy free family activities including music, games, face painters, balloon artists and food trucks. The night caps off with the lighting of the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge and a drone show.

Let’s take a closer look at the Plants in the park and our Farmer’s Market finds…..fruits & veggies and any other fun treasures we discover. Through close observation (with the help of a magnifying glass) we will play with Oil Pastels, Chalk Pastels and watercolor pencils to appreciate the beauty of Nature’s design. Learn to paint the beautiful Nebraska native pollinator flowers that are sprinkled throughout the RiverFront park. While painting you will learn basic water techniques such as: controlling water (wet on wet, wet on dry), blending, and how to paint from observation. Overall, we will have fun, unwind, and enjoy native pollinator flowers. All levels welcome. No experience necessary. This workshop is a drop-in style workshop. In this workshop you will explore the use of various materials, colors and drawing techniques to create a bookmark. Choose a word or phrase that sparks inspiration and ignites imagination as you make your mark on the world through art. This workshop is a drop-in style workshop. Seats are limited and are first come first serve. Location: Arrival Plaza at The RiverFront Park. The workshop will take place near the entrance of the Kiewit Luminarium
In this workshop you will learn how to design and decorate do-it-yourself stickers. Use markers to experiment with layering light and dark color combinations to add details to your sticker designs. You will have so much fun making stickers in the sun that you will want to share your new DIY sticker hack with others!

Earth Day at The RiverFront will be a fun, Earth-friendly day of festivities along the Missouri River. Please join along the RiverFront Promenade and at the Riverfront Plaza in Lewis and Clark Landing for information booths, sustainability activities, terra cotta pot painting, giveaways, a clothing drive, and live music. Scatter Joy Acres will bring animals for a petting zoo.
Join Hot Shops over at the Arrival Plaza and create your own Egg Carton Bunnies! Use egg cartons and other recycled objects to make a 3D Bunny on a background. This event is free and open to the public, supplies will be provided.
Meet at the Riverfront and dress in blue and green for a night of family fun celebrating National Blue & Green Day and the gift of organ and tissue donation. Enjoy free music, face painting, balloon artists, games and prizes, and a drone show. The fun happens on the Riverfront Plaza at the Lewis & Clark Landing (just east of Kiewit Luminarium).
