Roller Skates are available for rent at $5 for Adults and $4 for Youth.
The MAHA (Multiple Sclerosis at Home Access) Program at the University of Nebraska Medical Center will be hosting the 3rd Annual ‘MS Strong’ Community race event with proceeds being utilized to directly empower people living with MS and other demyelinating diseases with disability in our community. Race will include a fun run/walk/roll 5K and 10K run to ensure that regardless of ability people can participate. Event will include food trucks, DJ, and other family fun activities.
Celebrate with friends and family as we come together to honor our loved ones with Down syndrome. It’s a day full of fun—with bounce houses, face painting, games, and more! We’ll end the celebration with a short awareness walk to recognize individuals with Down syndrome and promote inclusion throughout our community. Fundraise to support DSA programs
LALA (Local Artists. Local Art), a nonprofit dedicated to uplifting local creative voices, invites the public to a vibrant evening of art, music, and celebration at “LALA Arty Party: Gift Crow Celebration”, at 8th Street Plaza at Heartland of America Park, next to the Skate Ribbon. At the heart of the event is the debut of “Gift Crow”, a striking new sculpture by local artist Renee' A. Ledesma, followed by remarks from both Ledesma and Weston Thomsen, Co-Director at LALA. The evening will include a performance by Mariachi Femenil Tecalitlan, an appearance by the River City Mixed Chorus, locally designed inflatable sculptures, and a lively celebration of LALA artists and their work.

Afro Fest Omaha The Festival will showcase Live Music, Dance, Arts and Crafts, and authentic African cuisine, a Children Activities area, a learning and Arts exhibition section as welt as a variety of organizations, businesses, student groups, and other Individuals From the community who are working every day to connect with others, create a vision for themselves and their community, and inspire others to join them in their efforts.
Headlining the festival are the legendary Pixies, pioneers of alternative rock whose influence resonates throughout modern music. Joining them is a stellar lineup of artists, including Grammy-nominated indie rock sensation Waxahatchee, indie rock icons Band of Horses, the mesmerizing synth-pop duo Magdalena Bay, alternative rock powerhouse Silversun Pickups, and Omaha’s own Little Brazil.
This fun and energetic dance class combines elements of ballet and hip-hop. Join MCC at the 8th Street Plaza in Heartland of America Park to learn this exciting dance style and perfect your moves! Some dance experience is required.
Enjoy the timelessness of painting “en plein air,” an inspiring way to immerse yourself in the beauty of the outdoors as you capture it on canvas. Supplies are provided; however you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer. Join Metropolitan Community College at the Lakeside Amphitheater at Heartland of America Park for this artistic experience.
