The Secret Life of Ants. Ants may be small, but they are mighty! Join us to get an up close look at the secret life of ants, how they live and survive, and learn about the special roles they have in maintaining our woodland ecosystem!
Our Birding program provides educational and citizen science opportunities for all ages and skill levels to identify and observe the birds that live in our woods and wetlands. Take a guided walk through the woods to see and identify the birds that call Gifford Farm home, expand your birding skills and knowledge, and connect with nature! Adults $8, Children 2 and older $7; Pay day of; Cash or Check only. Cost includes price of admission to Open to the Public from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Rocks, Rocks, and More Rocks. Get ready to dig! Nebraska is full of amazing rocks and land shapes and we're going on a scavenger hunt to find the coolest native rocks right here in the forest! You'll learn how these earthy treasures keep the trees standing tall and help the forest stay healthy!
Join at the farm for a fun day of animals, food, music, and games! This non-traditional egg hunt will have the kids collecting eggs and other goodies as you travel around the farm. Hayrides into the forest, music, games, and more included in your admission. Farmer's Market vendors and a food truck will be on hand and is separate from admission cost. Admission: $6 per person. Children under 2 years not collecting eggs are free. Cash or check only please. Event is by reservation only.
Bring out your ghosts, goblins, princesses, and superheroes for a day of non-scary trick or treating. Visit the animals, explore the Outdoor Nature Classroom, take a hayride, visit the food and farmers market vendors, enjoy music, games, and more! Event by reservation only.
A "Good old fashioned day at the farm". Guests will be able to visit the animals, take a hayride through the forest, explore the Outdoor Nature Classroom, enjoy music, games, animal presentations, food, farmers market vendors and more!
Join them for the kickoff of the Trick or Treat season at Gifford Farm! Trick or Treaters can roam the farm to collect their treats. Explore the Outdoor Nature Classroom, hop on a haunted hayride, meet special guest groups, indulge in food truck delights and farmer market offerings, enjoy face painting, balloons, games, and much more! Rain Date of October 27th 12-4 pm
