    We will be immersing ourselves in nature using all senses to activate our parasympathetic nervous system, which brings feelings of calm and general well-being. We will have a sensory experience in the forest, quieting our thoughts and finding a sense of peace and well-being in nature. Come prepared for the elements. Due to the quiet and contemplative nature of this program, we request that participants are adults only.

    Bring the whole family to a Family Yoga class here at Fontenelle Forest! We are partnering with Alexis Espinoza, a local yoga and mindfulness instructor, for this amazing program. During this program, Alexis aims to create a safe space in nature where children can get in tune with their bodies, emotions, and the natural world around them. Join and stretch, meditate, and connect with each other and the Forest!

    Will you be our Talontine? Join the raptors in the Forest Room on Sunday February 14th from 10AM-11AM for a celebration of raptor love! Learn about how birds of prey choose their mates and raise their families while enjoying sweet treats and designing your own raptor-themed Talontines!

This program will include an educational discussion of the nocturnal animals around the Forest and a brief talk about the lore of full moons. The guided hike will proceed after the discussion. After the hike, please join for a seasonal snack.

  • Reiki Meditation

    Join for a relaxing afternoon at the Nature Center experiencing soothing frequencies of a Reiki infused guided meditation.  Facilitated by Reiki Master Heather Pearson of Flowing Feather Reiki, this meditation will help you align with nature's healing frequencies. Due to the relaxing nature of the event, we kindly request that recipients are adults only.

  • Habitat Hike: Forest Exploration

    Join Naturalist Educator for a guided hike through Fontenelle Forest located at 1111 Bellevue Blvd N, Bellevue NE 68005. Come along as we explore the various flora and fauna of the Nature Center! The guided hike will last for 2 hours, traversing easy to moderate terrain; please dress accordingly.

We’ll discuss what animals do as the seasons change, and explore science stations focused on winter, spring, or fall. Join us on a hike looking for snowflakes, spring shoots, or falling leaves, and make your own seasonal craft to take home!

    Will you be our Talontine? Join our raptors in the Forest Room on Sunday February 9th from 1PM-2PM for a celebration of raptor love! Learn about how birds of prey choose their mates and raise their families while enjoying sweet treats and designing your own raptor-themed Talontines! This program requires preregistration. The cost is five dollars for members, and admission plus five dollars for non-members.

    • Are you an adventurous night owl looking to explore new trails? Join in this unique opportunity to see the Forest at night! Don’t miss your chance to learn about the nocturnal creatures who call the Forest home while exploring new trails.  This hike is geared toward intermediate to experienced hikers (ages 16+) and will traverse at least two miles of moderate to difficult terrain, so please come prepared with appropriate clothing and gear.
    • Cost: $10 for Members, $18 for Non-Members
