Celebrate reading with a party all about bookmarks! Kids can decorate a variety of bookmarks using fun supplies and their own creativity. From colorful designs to imaginative patterns, everyone will leave with a collection of unique bookmarks to enjoy with their favorite books. All supplies are included while supplies last. Tea 101 is an interactive session led by staff from The Tea Smith. It is ideal for people who are new to tea or want to learn more about the history, legend, tastes and benefits of the world's most popular prepared beverage. Limited samples of tea will be provided. Grab your team and get ready for a puzzle showdown! Everyone gets the same puzzle, and the race is on to see who can finish first. You’ll have two hours to put the pieces together and solve a small puzzle-related mystery. Only one team will take the crown as Puzzle Champions! Space is limited, and registration is required. Please only register once for each team. Teams are required to have a minimum of 2 members and a max of 5. One member of the team must be 19+.

Participants will use paper, fabric, and found materials to design their own one-of-a-kind masterpieces while learning about shape, layering, and visual storytelling. Bundle up and join Keep Omaha Beautiful educators for a wintery exploration of nature’s hidden magic! We’ll begin by reading "Jayden’s Impossible Garden," a heartwarming story about a boy who finds beauty and nature in unexpected places—even in the middle of a city. After our story, we’ll head outside on a short winter nature walk to observe animal tracks, bare branches, dried seed pods, and other signs of life that often go unnoticed in the colder months. Back inside, we’ll share our discoveries and create a collaborative mural that captures the quiet beauty of Omaha’s winter landscape.

You will be "locked" in a meeting room with puzzles, clues (and a few hints) to see if you have the smarts to figure out how to get out of our escape room! This escape room is based on the best-selling “The Last Kids on Earth” series by Max Brallier. This is a free event for kids ages 8-12.
Join Omaha Symphony musician Rosario Galante as he introduces the fun music the clarinet can make during this playful reading of "Kitten's First Full Moon" by Kevin Henkes. Designed for kids ages 3-5, this storytime is fun for friends of all ages with some support by their adults.

At the conclusion of storytime, children will be timed as they jump and hop their way through an obstacle course using various surfaces. Join OPL as we welcome Taylor Adams, head puppeteer for Opera Omaha’s Fantastic Mr. Fox. Taylor will educate young patrons about puppetry and encourage them through the creative process of making their own puppets. All supplies are free and included. Registration is required

Poop, vomit, slime, and even more amazing disgusting topics will be explored as we learn about some of the grossest (and coolest) animal traits. Join OPL and educators from the Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium to learn about mammal digestion and discover why scientists use poop to track animal migration patterns.
A small string or wind ensemble from the Omaha Symphony will perform music chosen to reflect the musicians’ decision to pursue music and/or their journey to Omaha. Each musician will share their personal story. This is a free event for all ages.

With spring on the horizon, now is the time to start planting! Join Omaha Public Library to learn how to care for, plant, and propagate edible plants in containers from an Omaha Master Gardener. Participants will be given a pot, soil, and seeds to take home. This is a free event for adults 19+.

Follow clues and mysteries through an interactive choose your own adventure story where each choice will lead you to a craft or activity that will change the story and lead you to another clue or decision. Today there will be a special guests from Keep Omaha Beautiful who will read Ruby’s Birds by Mya Thompson. Just as Ruby learns to identify the birds in her neighborhood, we will also learn to observe specific features in order to identify common backyard Nebraska birds. They will make a tool to help us on our birdwatching adventures and conclude with a bird watching expedition outside.

Join OPL for an Omaha History Escape Room adventure! You will be “locked” in a room, and in order to escape in time, you will need to solve various Omaha history-related puzzles and clues before your time is up.
There will be 1 escape room at 10:00am for participants ages 13+.
The Creepy Carrots have trapped Jasper Rabbit in a box of candy! Can you solve the puzzles and clues quick enough to save Jasper Rabbit from the Creepy Carrots? Or will he eat all the candy before we can get to him? Come find out at this escape room based on the best-selling picture book "Creepy Carrots" by Aaron Reynolds.
