Metro Young Latino Professional Association (MYLPA) and the Omaha Public Library invite the community to a free outdoor screening of In the Heights (2021, PG-13) in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. Refreshments and light snacks will be provided. Bring your own blankets and lawn chairs. Program will be moved indoors in case of inclement weather. This event is free and open to the public. Curiosity Crew is a hands-on STEM class for children under the age of six! Each month we cover a science topic and complete an activity or art project associated with that concept. This month, we’re learning about gravity, weight, and how to construct a stable tower. After the lesson, kiddos will have a chance to build a tower that can support the weight of a small pumpkin.

A 2022 Mirrors and Windows Fellow with The Loft Literary Center, Keenan also teaches writing workshops and speaks on the importance of literacy, representation, and storytelling.
