  • Kinderfest 2026

    This annual event begins with a 5k road race starting in the City Park at 8 am, register in advance to receive a t-shirt or on race day starting at 7 am. The Kinderfest parade down Main Street begins at 11 am.  Following the parade, the city park overflows with good old-fashioned fun!  A petting zoo and blowups will await the kids.  Game booths of all kinds will offer prizes: ring toss, duck races, basketball, cornhole, paddle wheel and more.  Where Everyone is a Winner!  Lots of food choices including:  pulled pork, brisket, brats, burgers, walking tacos and home-made pie!

    Dundee Day began in the 1950’s as a sidewalk sale and became an official day of events in 1992. Over the years, the event has included a ‘prettiest baby’ contest, appearances by local artists such as cartoonist Jeffrey Koterba, and the celebrated relocation of the Dundee Dell from Dodge Street to Underwood Avenue.     If you're looking for something fun to do next Monday, come out and join us and hundreds of our union brothers and sisters at the Omaha Labor Day Parade!!! It's next Monday, September 7, with the parade kicking off downtown at 10 a.m. The parade route winds through the city’s historic core, beginning at 16th and Cass Streets, heading south to Capitol Avenue, east to 10th Street, north to Mike Fahey Street, and west before concluding at 12th and Cass.

  • Plattsmouth Harvest Festival 2026

    Now in its 95th year, the Plattsmouth Harvest Festival is the oldest, continuous harvest festival in Nebraska.  Fun for the whole family, the 3-day event begins with the Coronation of the new King and Queen on Thursday evening. Friday includes Bingo, Car Bash, Band & Kiddie Parade. Saturday includes Grand Parade, Bingo, Chicken Races. Lots more to see and do the first weekend after Labor Day in September on and around Plattsmouth's Historic Main Street. Come join the fun.
