Soak up the sunshine & explore 18 acres of blooming beauty at our Nebraska Sunflower Fest! With over 450,000 vibrant sunflowers, it’s the perfect place to stroll, snap dreamy photos, & enjoy the beauty of nature!
This year includes live music, art, activities, food trucks, beer, cocktails and much more! All proceeds go to the Little Bohemia Business Association. Live music: Wedding, Nathan Ma Band, Parfait and Left Handed Country.
Join the Nebraska Chinese Association and The RiverFront for an evening of cultural performances, regional vendors, family activities, and a great selection of food! Performances will encapsulate various cultures, with live music and dancing from 6 to 9 PM. The One Community Festival will be held at the Performance Pavilion and Downtown Green event lawn at Gene Leahy Mall.

Since 1988, visitors have traveled the Lincoln Highway National Byway (IA Hwy 30) and the Loess Hills Scenic Byway to Woodbine the Last Saturday in September for the Woodbine Applefest! Woodbine Applefest is more than just an event—it’s a celebration of community spirit and small-town charm. The public is invited to join the Ditmars family in the tradition of protecting our orchard and asking for the blessing of a successful crop next season with one of our most unique and beloved orchard traditions — Wassailing! This centuries-old English custom celebrates the orchard, the harvest, and the community that keeps it thriving. They’ll gather together among the apple trees as The Irish Pope leads our traditional blessing of the trees, wishing them health, abundance, and good fruit for the coming season. Activities include re-enactments of old English traditional rituals & rhymes with a chance to see the wassailing ceremony every hour at 12:30, 1:30, 2:30 & 3:30.
Come and join with family and friends to share the historical and cultural significance of Day of the Dead Mexican tradition. This celebration includes Mariachi music, authentic Mexican food, catrina contest, folkloric dance, and an offering to the loved ones that have passed away.

Now in its 95th year, the Plattsmouth Harvest Festival is the oldest, continuous harvest festival in Nebraska. Fun for the whole family, the 3-day event begins with the Coronation of the new King and Queen on Thursday evening. Friday includes Bingo, Car Bash, Band & Kiddie Parade. The Fort Omaha Intertribal Powwow highlights Native American dance, music, regalia, oral history and arts. With its rich ties to Native American history, where Ponca Chief Standing Bear and his people were detained pending the 1879 landmark civil rights case granting Native Americans the right of Habeas corpus, the Fort Omaha Campus continues to offer an ideal location for this outdoor community event uniting people of diverse cultures, races, socioeconomic backgrounds and ages. This event is family-friendly and free and open to the public.
Celebrating Native American cultures, the powwow honors the traditional dance, music, artistry, oral history and foods of various tribes across Nebraska and the surrounding region including Omaha, Ponca, Santee Sioux and Winnebago.
