Let’s take a closer look at the Plants in the park and our Farmer’s Market finds…..fruits & veggies and any other fun treasures we discover. Through close observation (with the help of a magnifying glass) we will play with Oil Pastels, Chalk Pastels and watercolor pencils to appreciate the beauty of Nature’s design. All materials included. This workshop is a drop-in style workshop. Seats are limited and are first come first serve. Location: RiverFront Park at the Arrival Plaza outside of Kiewit Luminarium

Join experienced knitting teacher Roxanne Wheeler as she teaches this class for beginning knitting. Participants will learn foundational knitting skills as we knit wash cloths which can be applied to numerous other knitting projects. Knitting supplies are provided, all you need to bring is yourself and your enthusiasm! Registration limited. Designer's Den is a 60-minute, hands-on program designed for patrons of all ages to experiment, be creative, and express themselves using a blend of traditional crafting tools and creative technology. Each session offers a guided activity that encourages imagination, open-ended exploration, and collaborative learning. This all-ages activity invites participants to get creative and make a glowing card to take home and give to someone special. Space is limited. Registration is required

In this workshop you will learn how to make butterflies out of cardboard tubes and flowers out of cardboard egg cartons. I will guide you through the steps on how to fold, cut and glue until your butterflies emerge and your flowers bloom into reality. You can then use markers to decorate and design your cardboard creations. When you are all done you can glue on a magnet or mini clothes pin so you can display your creation as you please.
