July Theme: Experiments! Get ready to get a little messy! This summer we’re keeping our STEM skills sharp and our hypotheses ready with kid’s experiments. Experiments will use simple household items, may vary depending on age range, and come with all necessary safety equipment. If weather allows, a portion of the program will take place outside.
Join staff from Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium to learn all about one of the most amazing and important creatures of ocean - sharks. Alexis Elderts, zoo staff and former aquarist, will share stories and information about these fascinating animals and how our zoo works to protect them here and in the wild.
Old-fashioned summer fun! The Council Bluffs Fire Department hosts hydrant parties on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:30 - 2:30 p.m. throughout the summer at various locations.

We might need a bigger boat…or at least a bigger bingo card! Bring your friends or family to celebrate Shark Week with bingo. No prior knowledge of sharks is required to enjoy the game. This is a free event for adults and children ages 5 and older. Registration is required.

Come one, come all to create perfectly personalized pillows! This month, we are making throw pillows and stuffing them so you can take them home with you. All supplies are provided. This activity is suitable for ages 5+. Space is limited. Registration is required.
Join Omaha Public Library the second Thursday of the month to read with fellow book lovers from all over Omaha for a silent reading party! This month we are at The Dock at Millwork Commons—a community corridor for public events. Neighboring food venues may be closed during the event, so you are welcome to bring your own food and drink. Please be sure to clean up after yourself.
Get ready to soak up the sun and feel the rhythm at the Summer Vibes Concert Series, your weekly dose of live music, good vibes, and unforgettable summer nights! Join us on select Thursday evenings from 6:30-8:30pm for an exciting lineup of local and regional talent—featuring everything from rock and pop to funk and soul. Vibes concerts are located in the Village Pointe Amphitheater. Bring your lawn chairs, grab your favorite treats from a variety of Village Pointe restaurants, and gather your crew for this FREE outdoor concert series that’s perfect for all ages! Seating is FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE. Seating area opens up at 4pm day of concert.

Join us for the ultimate summer soirée at John C Fremont City Park! Concert in the Park is an outdoor concert series that will elevate your Thursday nights in June. Bring the whole family for a night of fun, starting with exciting kids' activities at 6:30 pm, followed by the sweet sounds of live music from 7 to 9 pm.
Movie Nights are a cherished tradition in the Highlander neighborhood, held on the lawn of the Highlander Accelerator. Everyone is welcome to this outdoor cinematic experience. Each week, Quasar pairs up a local business with a local charitable cause, to present a “Classic” retro title for a “Free-to-the-Public ” event to raise awareness and support. This is a great way for your organization to educate and interact with an eager audience. Solicitation of free-will donations or mission-specific item donations can be part of pre-event, advertising co-op.
