Conservation Connections: Scavenger Hunt

Join Conservation Nebraska in celebrating National Scavenger Hunt Day at Elmwood Park with a free, nature-based scavenger hunt for all ages on Saturday, May 24th from 11:00 AM to Noon!
 
Look for our feather flag and make sure to arrive early! The first 3 people to complete their scavenger hunts will receive a special prize and there will be treats for everyone who participates. Upon arrival, you will be provided with a scavenger hunt list and writing utensil, and then you can begin finding things around the park. You will also have the opportunity to connect with current AmeriCorps members about Conservation Nebraska and to share your personal conservation interests, which helps us put on more fun and educational events like this scavenger hunt!

CHALLENGE: For older children, add a color, description, etc. to each item. For example: For Sale/Sold Sign, Red Front Door, Heart Door Hanger, Cardinal, Blue Bench, etc.

Let’s have a little fun! How well do you and your family know Omaha and the surrounding area?

Easter Treasure Hunt with the Easter Bunny

Come enjoy their annual Easter Treasure Hunt with the Easter Bunny!! The Community is invited to join on Friday April 4th from 5:30-7:00.

Families will enjoy:

  • pictures with the Easter Bunny
  • an Easter scavenger hunt
  • Activities, Games, and Prizes
  • Treats and goodies!!
We will also be joined by several other businesses, making this the perfect event!! other businesses include Swimtastic-Elkhorn and others!!
 
So grab the kiddos, grab the grandparents, grab your camera, and come visit the Easter Bunny while letting the kiddos enjoy some activities and treats!!!

2nd Annual Butter Brickle Ice Cream Day

July 16, 2025

This event is held at Turner Park in Midtown Crossing. Butter Brickle Day will held on Sunday, July 20, 2025, from noon to 4 pm.  Their Ice Cream partner is Ted and Wally’s, an Omaha favorite since 1986!  The event is free and open to the public. Attendees can enjoy a FREE Bowl of Butter Brickle Ice Cream! (available for the first 400 attendees).

Bring a chair for live entertainment featuring The Rose Theater, and Mister K’s Clubhouse plus other local talent .  Get Creative in their large Chalk Zone, play outdoor games like cornhole, giant Tic Tac Toe & Connect 4,  a scavenger hunt, and much more activities for your whole family!
