Open Streets Omaha is presenting its first Play Streets this Sunday, April 28, in Aksarben Village, from 11am – 4pm! This will be the kickoff event to four Play Streets this Summer and future Open Streets Omaha programs. The emphasis is on physical activity, healthy local foods and wellness information. It is a day of simple and FREE fun!
Sunday’s event will be held in conjunction with the YMCA Healthy Kids Day, from 11am – 2pm in Stinson Park. This event will feature include:
- Bounce houses
- Zumba® classes
- Sports Zone and other games
- Mascot Race
- First 1,000 kids will receive a t-shirt and YMCA drawstring bag with other giveaways and healthy snacks.
- Plus, Children’s Hospital will provide FREE kids’ bike helmets.
This is a FREE community event to get kids moving and learning, and families living healthier. Come out, play and be on the lookout for more street events from Open Streets Omaha!
