Family Education Program at Heron Haven – July 8 (7:15 – 8:30 p.m.), FREE
- Night Hike – The wetlands are a magical place at night. The sight of a heron silhouetted against the evening sky is truly an unforgettable moment. The sounds and hops of the bullfrogs vibrate the still waters. Let’s investigate the difference between a frog and a toad. FREE Award winning The Nature Connection by Clare Walker Leslie to those participating in a mini-workshop about the book from 7:15-7:30. Come have some lemonade and walk on the wild side!
Bass Pro Shop Family Summer Camp – June 24 – July 23, (Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays from Noon – 5 p.m.), FREE

First Peoples In the Forest Hike – July 9 (4 – 5 p.m.), FREE
- Location: Camp Wakonda inside Fontenelle Forest. Hike history trail from the site of many earth lodges all the way down to the former Fontenelle trading post, where Logan Fontenelle and his parents Lucien and Me-um-bane (Bright Star), daughter of Omaha Chief Big Elk, once lived.
