- Join Mrs. Claus for storytime in front of Pottery Barn Kids.
Holiday Lights Spectacular at Midtown Crossing – Nov. 26 – Jan. 1, Nightly Thursday – Sunday at 7 p.m., FREE
- A choreographed blend of light and holiday music projected onto Midtown Crossing’s condominium buildings, the Holiday Lights Spectacular will run approx. 20-minutes every Thursday thru Sunday night. – Saturday, Nov. 26, thru Sunday Jan. 1, 2016 – starting at 7 p.m.
Gingerbread House Display at the Mormon Trail Center and Kanesville Tabernacle – Nov. 19 – Dec. 31 (10 a.m. – 8 p.m.)
- One of our favorite Christmas traditions is seeing the intricately designed Gingerbread Houses. They also have a fun Scavenger Hunt at each location with a picture option for the younger children.
- The center closes at 3 p.m. on Thanksgiving Eve, Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. The center will be closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

Light On Dundee – Dec. 1 (5 – 7 p.m.)
- Photos with Santa, cookie decorating, hayrides, cider, carolers, vegan treats, Christmas beer and munchies, and more!
Frosty’s Pines Christmas Trees Open
- Pick your favorite Christmas Tree! Open the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday after Thanksgiving, and every Weekend after from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Prancer at The Rose Theater – Nov. 25 – Dec. 18
- The world premiere of this stage adaptation features a heartwarming story and breathtaking puppetry that will bring light to the holiday season. Performances on Fridays at 7 p.m., Saturdays at 2 p.m., and Sundays at 2 p.m.
Family Night at the Union Pacific Museum – Dec. 2 (5 – 7 p.m.), FREE
- Bah Humbug! Victorian Night at the Museum! Come in to meet Santa and explore some holiday traditions.
First Friday Family Date Night at the Omaha Children’s Museum – Dec. 2 (5 – 8 p.m.)
- Enjoy special winter themed activities and character appearances will be from 5 to 8 p.m., plus there will be special late-night showings of Santa’s Magic. Included with regular admission.
Ethnic Holiday Festival at The Durham Museum – Dec. 2 (5 – 9 p.m.)
- More than 20 local cultural organizations proudly display their crafts and traditional dress, while musicians and dancers perform throughout the evening. Included with regular admission.
Lights of Aksarben – Fridays, Dec. 2, 9, 16 (6 – 8 p.m.)
- Heated tent, free horse and carriage rides, live music, and more.
Santa Goes to Space at Strategic Air Command & Aerospace Museum – Dec. 3, (10 a.m. – 2 p.m.)
- The Strategic Air Command & Aerospace Museum will celebrate the holiday season and space day by bringing Santa Claus, and the Imperial Stormtroopers of the 501st Legion together for a fun-filled family day. Young guests will have the opportunity to visit with Santa and sit inside the Museum’s mini-F4 fighter jet. The Museum will also feature space-related booths, planetarium showings, and holiday music in Hangar B. Included with paid admission.
Santa Sleigh Ride at Hummel Park Nature Center – Dec. 3 (10 a.m. – 2 p.m.), RSVP Required
- Ride with Santa on a special sleigh around the park! Enjoy hot cocoa, write a letter to Santa, explore the trails, and other family fun activities. Bring a new pair of mittens or a non-perishable food item to donate.
Lowe’s Free Build and Grow Clinic: Christmas Ornaments – Dec. 3 (10 a.m.), FREE
- Register in advance to your favorite location.
Archery on Fire at Platte River State Park – Dec. 3 (10 a.m. – 4 p.m.), FREE with Park Entry Permit
- Bring the family and learn more about archery. Equipment is provided and knowledgeable staff will be there to help.
Santa Visits Saddlebrook – Dec. 3 (10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.), FREE
- Story time, holiday activities, and crafts.
Christmas in Greece – Dec. 3 (11 a.m. – 7 p.m.), FREE Admission
- Celebrate “Christmas in Greece” with the Greeks sharing their holiday traditions and culture with food, music, dancing, pastries and “philoxenia” (Greek Hospitality). St. Nicholas will be there and children’s activities.

- Christmas in the Village at 24th and Lake has become one of the largest holiday celebrations and traditions in North Omaha attracting thousands of participants from throughout the city and region.

Hot Shops Art Center’s Holiday Open House – Dec. 3 (12 – 8 p.m.), Dec. 4 (12 – 5 p.m.), FREE
- The event features fun and informative art demonstrations, gift ideas and snacks, with residents of the Hot Shops opening their studios to the public. Local acoustic musicians will perform throughout the center.
Where Books and Art Meet with Arts for All (Registration Required) – Dec. 3 (2:30 – 3:30 p.m.), FREE
- Explore your creative side every week with art projects based on books and illustrations. Classes are taught by professional artists and art teachers in partnership with Arts For All. For children ages 8-12. Location: South Omaha Library.
Wells Fargo Family Festival – Sunday, Dec. 4 (12 – 5 p.m.), FREE
- Enjoy family activities and experience many of Omaha’s leading downtown attractions for free including Omaha Children’s Museum, The Durham Museum, Wells Fargo Bank, Omaha Police Mounted Patrol Barn, W. Dale Clark Library, and Joslyn Art Museum. A free trolley service will connect the participating venues.
