Science on a Sphere at Do Space – 1/28 – 2/11, FREE
- Metropolitan Community College, Omaha Public Schools, Do Space and the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) have partnered to bring Science on a Sphere to Omaha, an exhibit by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration that illustrates Earth System science to visitors.

Kids Dream Winter Film Series – 2/5 – 3/20, Friday – Sunday 10 a.m.

- Bird lovers of all ages are invited to gather at the park’s Administration Office for bird viewing and identification. Both adults and children can participate in recycling everyday materials into backyard bird feeders and learn how to make winter bird feed to keep your birds happy all year.

Guided Snowshoe Hike at Hitchcock Nature Center – 2/6 (Pre-Registration Required by 2/5), 10:00 a.m. & 1:00 p.m., $5
- This workshop is designed for participants 12 years of age and older. Cost is $5/person and includes a guided hike, refreshments, and the use of snowshoes during the guided hike. Pre-registration and pre-payment are required.
FITGirl Winter Wellness Expo – 2/6, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., Pre-Registration Required
- A Mother-Daughter Empowerment Experience for Moms, Mentors, Guardians and their daughters, ages 8-16. Tickets are sold online only: $20 for mom and daughter, $5 for each additional daughter/guest and includes access to all sessions, gift bags, prizes and giveaways.

WATER Exhibition Opens at KANEKO – 2/6 – 4/23
- WATER will explore issues impacting water quality and sustainability both within the midwestern region and globally. These concepts will be highlighted through the combination of scientific data and fine art.

Family Fun Night Extravaganza at the Strategic Air & Space Museum – 2/6, 5 – 8 p.m.
- Ever wonder what happens at the Museum after dark? Come spend an evening at the Strategic Air & Space Museum and experience the inside of an aircraft during the airplane crawl through. The event includes behind-the-scenes access to the aircraft, and the younger visitors will get a chance to purchase rubber-band gliders and participate in the young aviators contest!
- A designated picnic area will be set up for your family to enjoy your dinner; you may bring your own food, or can pre-order a box meal, for $9.00 (preorder and payment required).
- Included with regular museum admission.
Winter Carnival at Motto McLean Ice Arena – 2/6, 5 – 7 p.m., $8
- The Figure Skating Club of Omaha’s annual Winter Carnival will have skating, games, prizes, dinner, and treats. Cost of admission is $8 per person (skate rental additional; ages 2 and under are free).
