Hands-on-Habitat at Fontenelle Forest – 1/15, 9:30 – 11:30 a.m., FREE with Registration
- Fun educational, hands-on classes for pre-school age children and parents.

Opening of Science & Art Exhibit at Strategic Air & Space Museum – 1/16 – 4/10
- Five “mini” exhibits featuring projects created by artists who have specific masteries in scientific areas. The displays are designed to show that art and science have much in common while experiencing science from a fresh point of view. Come see how a nanometer of water can be fun, how Origami uses geometry, why a worm is considered art, and how music is created from a micro-chip.
Forever Young Family & Children’s Series at Film Streams
- Seven-film run every week on Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday until March 31, 2016. Kids (12 and under) $2.50. (Other Prices: Adults: $9, Member $4.50, Senior|Teacher|Student|Military: $7)
- This weekend: Bon Voyage, Charlie Brown – January 14 and The Iron Giant – January 16, 17, 21, 23, 24 & 28.
Indoor Air Show at Strategic Air & Space Museum – 1/16, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
- Featuring local R/C club pilots demonstrating loops, flips, and barrel rolls in the museum’s Durham Restoration Hangar. The event includes educational booths, a safety workshop, and an update on FAA regulations that take place (and restrict drones) effective Dec. 21, 2015. (See the new Science & Art Exhibit opening, too!)
- Included with museum admission or membership. The Museum is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
