Dinosaurs, Things that Go, A Bug’s World, Itty Bitty City, The Wizard of Oz, and now … Another FUN special exhibit is coming to the Omaha Children’s Museum!
They are bringing farm life to the big city! Once Upon a Farm opens October 18, 2014, and continues through April 12, 2015. Explore the world of agriculture and learn where food comes from in the newest special exhibit.
Children can learn what it takes to milk a cow, slide into the seat of a kid-powered Claas combine cab, wheel around the maze on mini tractors and trikes, plus more! This is the sixth community-engaged exhibit with support from over 18 local and state-wide organizations.
Once Upon a Farm Daily Programming
Daily programming will focus on a new topic each week and will incorporate various farm animals on special weekends throughout the exhibit’s run.
Farm Life: (Tuesday – Saturday 10:30 a.m. & 2:30 p.m. Sunday 2:30 p.m.) Learn about modern day farming daily in their special exhibit. Discover how the food we eat gets from the farm to the table. Come for games, crafts and farm-themed activities.

See how the crops and livestock you raised get to the grocery store.

Activate different water sprayers inside a large tank.

Grill your own burgers and steaks and see what other culinary creations you can make.
