Summer Fun Series: Free Summer Concerts!


This is part of the Summer Fun Series, highlighting all of the Fun Activities to do in Omaha this Summer for Free including movies, concerts, reading programs, spraygrounds, and more!

Saturdays at Stinson in Aksarben Village – May 5th – August 4th – 7pm-10pm.

Omaha Music in the Parks – May 7th – September 26th.  The longest running, most diverse outdoor concert series in the area, is held in various locations throughout Omaha and surrounding communities.

Sounds of Summer Free Concert Series at Shadow Lake Towne Center – May 25th-August 31st, Fridays. 6:30pm-8:30pm.

Vibes Free Summer Concert Series at Village Pointe Shopping Center – May 26th-August 25th, Saturdays, 6:30pm-8:30pm at Alegent Health Amphitheatre.  Kids can enjoy free face painting and balloon art.  Outdoor seating surfaces are available but concert-goers are welcome to bring along chairs or blankets.  Special Friday Night Concert June 8th.

Music and Movies in the Park – May 30th – August 1st, Wednesdays, 6:30-8:30pm in Bayliss Park, Downtown Council Bluffs.  Enjoy the melodic sounds of summer in a beautiful and tranquil setting.

Swingin’ at Sumtur Amphitheater Free Concert Series – May 31st – June 28th.  Thursdays, 7:30pm.  Gates open at 6:30pm.

Rockbrook Village Free Friday Night Concerts – June 1st – August 31st.  Every Friday, 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Papillion Concerts in the Park – June 6th – August 29th.  Held at the City Park (84th and Lincoln Street) with Papillion Farmers Market on Wednesdays, beginning at 6:30pm (except June 13th due to Papillion Days).

Free Cox Music and Movies at Holland Center East Lawn – Enjoy live music from some of the area’s hottest bands followed by a classic movie, all in the Holland Center Courtyard. Venue opens at 7:30pm, music starts at 7:45pm, and movies begin at dusk.  This will be held on the Holland Center East Lawn, at 12th & Douglas Streets.  A menu of à la carte items will be available the day of the show. Blankets and chairs welcome. No pets or outside food permitted. PLEASE NOTE: This is a rain or shine event. Event will move to the covered arrival plaza (directly next to the courtyard) in the case of rain.

LaVista Summer Concerts and Movies – All concerts and movies this summer will begin at 7 pm, and take place outdoors at the La Vista Public Library, 9110 Giles Road.
    • June 22nd – Charm School Dropouts / The Smurfs
    • July 20th – eNVy / Dolphin Tale
    • August 10th – Bluehouse / Three Musketeers
Architects of Air Nightly Concerts at Midtown Crossing – After visiting the amazing Architects of Air ($5/person), enjoy free nightly concerts June 27th-June 30th, at 7pm, at Turner Park.  Fireworks finale after concert on June 30, 2012.

USAF Heartland of America Band at Sumtur Amphitheater – July 1st, 7:30pm.  Gates open at 6:30pm.

Jazz on the Green at Midtown Crossing presented by Omaha Performing Arts – July 12th – August 16th.  Thursdays, Venue opens at 5 PM, Concert starts at 7 pm

Playing With Fire Omaha – Free Live Music on July 28th, at Lewis and Clark Landing

End of Summer Concerts at Midtown Crossing – August 31st-September 28th, 7pm, Friday evenings in Turner Park.
